RENATA WIMER

Mexican performing artist, director, cultural manager and founder of the company Teatro del Mundo Producciones. Her professional work has been developed in the field of dance, theater and  music. She has collaborated with a wide range of companies in Mexico and abroad.

As theatre actress she has collaborated with directors such as Bill Buckhusrt, Raz Swaw, Roland Schimmeplfennig, Katie Mc Hugh, Peter Wynne Wilson, Sergei Ostrenko, Emilio García Wehbi, Richard Viqueira, Sergio Vela, David Meadows and Gari Jones, among others. Her work has been presented in India, Korea, England, Finland, Colombia, Costa Rica, Lithuania, US, Germany and within various international festivals such as the Kijimuna Theater Festival in Japan, the Sori Festival in Korea, Teatro Iberoamericano de Bogotá,Colombia and the Festival Internacional Cervantino.

She is founder of the company International Actors Ensemble,which brings together 22 actors from various countries around the world and dedicates its artistic research to the work of William Shakespeare from a multilingual and multicultural perspective.

Multi-instrumentalist and composer. She studied string instruments such as the sitar, esraj and setar in India, Nepal and Iran. He has composed music for different theater productions and collaborated with world music ensembles such as Ghazali, Didar, Human Travel and Ensamble Anjali.

In 2019 she was selected as theater director to join the International Directors Lab at the Lincoln Center in New York.
